Let me answer some of these questions.
No! The police and other security measures are not sufficient!
The police, security guards, alarms and motion sensors are not able to stop an intruder. First, help is not on the scene when it is needed! Police or security guards arrive after a crime has occured.
Secondly, if you are not at home, is there someone always around to help you?
Lastly, children from 6 years old to seniors in their nineties can learn to protect tehmselves!
Examples of the ability of the elderly include Master Ueshiba, who at over eighty years old, tossed six grown men, 200lb Black Belts around, as though they did not know how to stand! Caught in a whirlwind.
Master Funakoshi, at the age of 88 was still revising his text on Karate! Karate-Do Kyohan, his text, is considered by many as THE definitive reference for Karate.
A ten year old student of mine, who had been beaten by bullies at his school, stopped all attacks after only three months training. He first arrived at my school with his father. I answered a knock at my door and greeted a large, burly man inquiring about instuction for his son. As I answered his questions, he produced a small boy from behind his back. The thin small boy wore thick black glasses, tapped in the middle with white adhesive tape. The man asked me to teach his son to defend himself. I taught the young man with compassion and purpose. He stopped the assaults and did this without injuring anyone!
At his next lesson, I again answered a knock at my door. There stood a confident young man, with his Father trailing behind. He and his Father thanked me and told me the results of his training. This time, the Father stood sheepishly while my young student spoke. I never saw the young man after that, but I believe, to this day, he is a confident, capable and loving man. That was almost thirty years ago!
Where were his teachers, the school administrator, counselor, security? Not where he needed them. But in less than three months, 24 lessons, he did not return. He did not need further instruction. He had gained the confidence in himself and knew he was a valuable, capable human being.
We teach a complete Martial Art form. Our instruction includes training for self defense, competition, weapons and a comprehensive Martial Art. You choose what you want to learn. If you seek the ability to defend yourself or others, for the right purpose, please read on.

Can't you buy a book and learn what you need? The bottom line answer is NO. When my interest in the Martial Arts were developing, I did just that, I went to the Library and got all the books they had on the Martial Arts. I read them several times, but learned nothing about application of the techniques described and even injured my hand attempting to break a board. Consider the Arts as a beautiful cake. It offers a tantalizing taste treat, but if you attempt to eat it all at once, you will lose the opportunity to savor the flavor. You'll
probably end up with a stomach ache a well.
If a book is your preference, we offer the Chujo-Ryu Main Text, it is much more comprehensive then anything you will find on the shelves of your local bookstore. But we believe that you need an instructor led course that insures you properly learn and can execute the techniques.
Our Instructors are available and you can rely on their experience and guidance. They are available whenever they are needed.
The best training is one on one instruction, schools offering this
training, charge a rate of $100 or more per hour. We provide the next best thing, constant instructor dialog to insure you are progressing, at no additional cost!
The following provides a description of the Art of CHUJO-RYU, Its founding and its beginnings. YES YOU CAN LEARN AN EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE MARTIAL ART USING THE INTERNET AND TRAINING ON YOUR OWN SCHEDULE, AT LESS THAN 10% OF THE COST OF TRADITIONAL SCHOOLS.
Join our international community of Martial Artists. We will certify and accept your current rank in other Arts, upon completion of applicable testing.
